Video Painting (Cooool)
sweatshoppe: video painting
previously we wrote an article on french design aissa logerot who developed 'halo' an
LED light spray. now, sweatshoppe has taken this LED technology to the streets on a different level. The collective made up of video artist bruno levy and blake shaw who are also multimedia performers, use video mapping techniques as a means of video painting onto walls through the use ofa paint roller. The only catch is, the paint roller doesn't actually paint anything onto the wall.instead it is made from green LEDs which work in conjunction with a camera next to a projectorwhich is programmed with software that tracks its movements. the software then outputsthe X-Y position of the roller projecting a textured video image of the strokes the duo aredrawing on a wall. this interactive technology allows them to explore the relationship between video, mark making and architecture.

Dan Gorham: "The Children of Men" book design
P.D James "The Children of Men" book design 1
Brief:
Re-design a book cover from a selection of old books by penguin. We was only able to use two colours, blue 299c and Black and the type had to be hand generated.
I hand painted this illustration, mainly to get away from the computer and out of my comfort zone, though I thoroughly enjoyed this process.
The book is about the end of fertility and mankind, though a woman becomes pregnant and the baby is the only way mankind can persue. So I thought it would be a good idea to focus on the baby, for example the health of the heart, creating a seance of anxiety, is the heart beating or is it not.

The Moving Men Project Logo design
Brief:
Design a logo for The Moving Men Project. A company that offers one to one sessions , creative workshops and men’s groups to all men regardless of their colour, faith, age or sexual orientation.
They are professionally trained, accredited and insured practitioners with many years experience in menswork.
Thios was a brief with not a lot of brand language so we didn't have much to work with.
In my final design, it represents change, from being un-happy and insecure (blue) to joyfulness (yellow). The typeface was chosen because of its masculinity, so it fitted perfectly within the brief.

Coffee Shop design
brief: Come up with a Concept for our College Coffee shop and design packaged elements for it.
The idea behind my Concept was to create some discreet yet powerful.
I really don't like Hastings, so I thought why not use this concept for my coffee shop. No its not pretty and colorful and cute and comforting, wel because neither is Hastings.
The main focus of my Coffee shop is the main wall, which is a google map image of the town highlighting ares of Hastings which are not exactly pretty places to visit.
The idea behind the cups, is that each cup is a destination, and to reveal the destination you peel off the orange paper, which either shows a nasty image of what consists in that place or the place itself.
The sugar is contained in tin foil, to represent Cocain & the milk is contained in a condom, to represent you know what.
Finally the bags, I created a metaphoric illustration that sums up that particular area.
Overall a successful project.

Summer Brief
Summer brief:
Discription: What would you leave behind to sum up me as a person if the world was to end!
I chose to create a 2D/3D moveable archive, that can be assembled, re-assembled in lots of different configurations. This sums up me as a person because it reflects on the best times of my life so far, my chosen Career path and my Hobbie.
Royal Mail Stamp Brief: Uni project
Brief:
Your designs can look back on to noughties as a decade, look to the future or concentrate on a theme of your choice. You must have at least 6 stamps in your series and they must include the class of stamp and the queens head silhouette.
Remember, the Royal mail have come to “YOU” specifically as they want an interesting approach to this brief.
