Mark Making: Found this

Further into my investigation into mark making I cam across this cleaver interaction campaign which was launched to help motivate citizens to throw garbage into waste cans and not on the streets. The organizers cleverly created 16 game stations around various bins that included a maze, hopscotch and other activities.

This is quite away from the type of mark making that I am investigating, but it shows how the use of paint can interact with society.

Mark Maiking: Pencil Shaving Portraits

Forms of mark / image making have always interested me, these are a good example of how to use the medium. Thinking outside the box, now days is important, as creatives we are always looking for new techniques, forms, and mediums for a way to communicate an image or message.

Nice work!

SCCH PLAZA GYM logo: Dan Gorham & Matt Barnes

Sussex Coast college logo design:

This is a gym with top of the range equipment, that needed a quick brand turn around. The gym was thriving to have its own identity as well as the restaurant which we also branded. The logo is designed to work with all types of media, the logo represents agility, speed, and fitness. The ellipse and the chosen colours are in context with the college brand, but at the same time giving the gym its own identity.

Hastings College Restaurant Identity:

Identity designed by myself and Matt.

we decided to work as a team for the first time. The restaurant itself has great food cooked by staff and student, great service and is located in the heart of Hastings town set inside the brand new college.

The Identity is sophisticated, clean, honors the Hastings coastline and fits in perfectly with the college brand.
